Gena

I am a child care administrative technical assistant and work in child care centers through out my state of Mississippi.  We work hand in hand with teachers and directors to help build quality in their classrooms/centers.  I received my AAS in Child Development, BS in Early Childhood Education, and I am currently working toward my MS in Early Childhood Studies.  I enjoy photography, cake decorating, traveling, and mostly working with children!

  1. Hi Gena,

I am so glad you are in my class. I love how God places people around me who can help. I am a director of a Before and After School program at my church. Maybe you can share with me some ideas to help me improve the program.

    • Hi Stephanie –
Thanks – I am so glad we are in class together too and that we have the chance to get to know/learn from each other! I would love to help you with some ideas. Just let me know what I can help you with and I will see what ideas I can toss your way! :0)

Hi Gena! I was wondering, did you create a blog through Blogger? This is another classmate with the same name, Gena, and even though she is in my circle, I can’t see anything she creates. I wasn’t sure if that was you or someone else named Gena. I just wish I could see what all she is putting on her blog. Thanks for all the help! :o)

    Hi Gena,
I just wanted to write and let you know how much I enjoyed reading your posts and that I loved some of your links to issue such as poverty and Autism. I feel like I made a connection with you regarding your posts because you posted issues that are very close to my heart. You have a great understanding of the issues ECE is facing and how it affects not only the children but also affects the families. I enjoyed how you realize Special Education is a huge part of ECE and should not be ignored. You were open and willing to share some personal stories and I appreciate that and thank you. Thank you for all of your posts and I look forward to continuing this means of communication with you throughout our Master’s program. I wish you the best as your pursue your degree. I am sure you will go far. Best wishes and God Bless…
